Sreenarayanaguru Open University (SGOU)

Introduction

The Sreenarayanaguru Open University (SGOU) is a state-open university located in Kollam, Kerala, India. It was established by the Kerala Government via the Sreenarayanaguru Open University Act, 2021 (formerly an ordinance in 2020).  

It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and aims to offer open, distance, and blended learning programmes.  

The university is named after the social reformer Sreenarayanaguru and focuses on inclusivity, flexible learning, and reaching learners across Kerala.

1.  For UG programmes: Candidates generally need to have completed +2 (or equivalent) from a recognised Board.
